Procedure to Become Member
Eligibility Criteria
(i) Any retired person who has been employed for a minimum period of five years as:
a. Scientist in DRDO;
b. Permanently seconded Service Officer in DRDO;
c. A Scientist in Organizations/ Societies coming under the Department of Defence Research & Development. (Like ADA, GAETEC, SITAR, JCB etc.)
(ii) Any retired person of good standing who:
a. is at least an Engineering graduate or Post graduate in Science subjects;
b. has work experience in any Government establishment / Public sector in Scientific / Technical assignments related to Defence projects, at the discretion of the Central Council.
(iii) Any retired person, duly qualified and experienced, other than described in (i) and (ii) above, whose contribution is considered to benefit DRDO / IDST, at the discretion of the Central Council.
Membership Application
(a) Online Application
Read the Instructions before filling in the form. Fill in Online application form; Upload all attachments & mention Membership Fee remittance details. Submit the form for further processing.
(b) Offline Application
This facility is available only in case of emergency and for a limited time when Online form cannot be filled in by the applicant due to resource limitations.
Download application form, fill the form completely with Enclosures and Fee remittance details. Submit the application form to IDST Branch of your choice (Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Pune). Branch will upload your form on the Website for further processing.
Admission & Membership Fee
Admission Fee: Rs. 100/-
Life Membership Fee: Rs. 1000/-
Total to be paid.: Rs 1100/-
Documents to be submitted with Membership application form
(a) Xerox copy of PPO
(b) Bio-Data (Not Exceeding 250 Words)
(c) Soft Copy of latest Passport size photographs (Two Copies in case of Offline application).
(d) Membership Fee remittance details. On line payment / Draft or Crossed Cheque for Rs 1100/- drawn in favour of IDST.
