A New Year get together of IDST Pune Branch members was organized on 19th Jan 2024 in the front lawns of IDST Pune office. Around 40 members attended the function. Dr. DB Sarwade, Chairman, briefed about activities carried out during the last year and invited all members for high tea

Felicitation of 80+ age Members

A felicitation program for members, who have completed 80 years of age, was arranged at IDST Pune branch office on 27 Feb 2024.  Five members were felicitated by Managing Committee.

Conclave on Autonomous Technology and Systems (CATS-2024)

Conclave on Autonomous Technology and Systems (CATS-2024) was organized by IDST, Pune in association with R & D E (E), Pune on 11 & 12 Jan 2024 at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Pashan, Pune. Exhibition for display of products was arranged in which 26 trade & DRDO labs participated. Conclave & Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr SV Gade, DG (ACE) and Dr Makarand Joshi, Director R & D E (E)  was guest of Honor.

Course on “Scientific & Technical Writing Skills”

Four days course on “Scientific & Technical Writing Skills” was arranged at ARDE, Pune during 25-28 June 2024. Around 30 participants of the level of Scientist ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ from ARDE participated in the course

New Year get together of IDST Pune Branch members was organized on 11th Jan 2023 in the front lawns of IDST Pune Region office. About 20 to 25 members attended the function. SPARSH Programme

The lecture on SPARSH (A System for Pension Administration RAKSHA) implemented for pension sanction and disbursement for Defence Personnel), was organized on 22nd Feb 2023 in AROMI, Pashan, Pune at 1100 hrs by Shri. SB Kale. About 40 IDST members attended this lecture. Shri. SB Kale took the lecture and satisfactorily answered the queries of members. The lecture was well appreciated by one and all.

Activities conducted in 2022:

Get together of Faculty Members of Gujarat University and IITRAM:

A get together of all the IDST Members who were the faculty for the courses conducted for the BK School of Professional and Management Studies (BKSPMS), Gujarat University and Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM),Ahmedabad, Gujarat was arranged at AROMI, Pashan, Pune - 411021 on 19th April 2022 at 1200hrs.

New Year Get together 2022

New year Get together for IDST Pune Branch was organized on 19-01-2022 in front lawns of IDST. Proper Covid protocol was observed during the function. The body temperature of all participants was recorded by IR Thermometer besides proper sanitization. About 20 members attended the function

Felicitation of IDST Pune Members above the age of 80 years

IDST Pune Region felicitation of  all members above 80 years. was organized on 25 Feb 2022 in IDST Pune Region Office. Eight members attended the function. Dr. DB Sarwade, Chairman IDST Pune Branch welcomed the members. Then he briefed about the activities of Pune Branch. The IDST Members expressed their views, suggestions for the improvement of the membership.

New Year Get Together 2021 

New Year Get Together was arranged on 8th Jan 2021 on the Lawns of IDST Pune Branch Office. The event was arranged at 1100 hrs with Tea, Coffee and Snacks. More than 45 Members. Of IDST Pune Branch attended the same to exchange the New Year greetings.

Activities conducted in 2020:

New Year Get Together 2020

New Year Get together was held on 8th Jan 2020. About 45 members participated for the event. High - Tea was arranged on this occasion.

• R&DE (E) celebrated their Foundation Day on 8 Feb 2020. Office bearers of IDST Pune were invited for this function. About 10 Pune Branch members attended this programme.
• Life Certificate facility was made available by IDST Pune Branch was utilized by about 20 members and their families.
• During the year E-bulletin was published giving information about the activities of IDST. Further publication was held up due to Corona epidemic. Office hours were restricted.
•  Some articles from various magazines were sent to members for information

Inauguration of SOFT SKILLS course by IDST at DIAT Pune on 4 March 2019

New Year 2019 Get Together

IDST Pune Branch arranged the “New Year 2019 Get Together” on 16 Jan 2019 on the Lawns of IDST office. Event was arranged during 1100 Hrs to 1230 Hrs. More than 70 members of this Branch attended the same to exchange the greeting amongst the members.

Shri BS Gugale Chairman IDST gave welcome address and highlights of the activities being carried out by Branch and introduced the members of New Branch Regional Council.

Shri SS Kulkarni, Previous Chairman briefed about the activities and events of Pune Branch for year 2018. He also mentioned that online facility for ‘Jeevan Pramaan Patra’ Certificate for Pension purpose started at Pune Branch.

Shri KC Arora President IDST briefed the gathering about activities at IDST HQ and future plans. He requested all members for higher participation.

Shri CM Kulkarni Vice Chairman proposed vote of thanks and invited all for high tea.

Pune Branch staff also participated in the event. IDST Members posted feedback on ‘What’s up’ group of IDST about excellent arrangement of New Year get together.

New Year 2018 Get Together

IDST Pune Branch arranged the “New Year 2018 Get Together” on 10 Jan 2018 in the Lawns at IDST Office premise. Event was held during 1030 to 1200 hrs with Tea & snacks. More than 75 members of this Branch attended the same to exchange the greeting amongst the members.

Shri KC Arora, Vice President Central Council, briefed the gathering about activities at IDST HQ and future plans. He requested all members for higher participation.

Lunch Social Meeting of our Senior Members

Our veteran members with others enjoyed an informal get-together over the Lunch at RSI Golf Mess on 20 March 18. Brig Sastri, Brig Ghorpade, Col Sinha, Mr. VB Ghorpade, Maj Gen SS Sharma, Brig RG Wastrad, Brig YL Sharma, Col IB Goel, Col PN Kapoor, Mr. Arora could not join. They shard some lighter moments of decades of DRDO and talked about the happy day they have spent in DRDO. It was decided to make this as regular event once in two months and request others to join. The average age of the group was 80 years. Nice to see their high spirits, liveliness, good health management and keenness to remain in touch with each other through IDST of which all of them are active members and proud of.
